Barely Human

I think; therefore it hurts. I think I still have a brain. I remembered how to get here and type. I need sleep. Lots of it. I updated my web page. New backgrounds compliments of
Jan's Designs. Also thanks to Joe I have a few pics up as well. Please check it out My Violet Horizon Home Page.

Steve's Birthday
It's his b-day tomorow. We have plans to go see Shakespear in the Park. They are peforming Othello. The ampitheater is outside and it is free. All that is asked of you is that you bring canned food for charity.

Other things for Tomorrow
Cameron and I are going to a very large book sale in the morning. Prices are great. 25 cents for hard cover. Brand new stuff if I read the flyer correctly there is nothing over $1.00. My kind of book sale. I'll update you on my finds.

The Post Office
No, Sarah I didn't forget about you and the tapes. I have everything packed up finially. This week has been hell. Tomorrow it goes out. I promise.

Victory
Steve found the missing CD. It was under the floormat in the back seat of the car. :-D

Good night for now.

ok so it is thrusady afternoon and I am still alive. Thanks the heavens for Mountian Dew. I have even lost about 3 or 4 lbs. The kids are watching Harry Potter right now. What a great movie. I don't really have a lot to say at the momment. My brain hurts, a lot. I think I'll go back to bed. I want to work on the pics but I haven't the energy. Maybe later tonight.

well those are pics of the kids. I can't seem to get them to come over from the other page. I have to go to work. I'll work on it tomorrow night. Seeing as how I work till 10pm tonight and have to go back in at 5 am tomorrow yuck.

Oh give me some good ole mountain dew, those who refuse it are few :-)
Yes that is a real song my dad taught it to me. I don't have enough time to write it all down though. Maybe another time.

4 days down 6 to go

POSITIVE. POSITIVE. POSITIVE!!!!

Misc. stuffs
I don't think I mentioned this earlier. When I went to Dr. A for my monthly shrink appointment we decided to cut my Celexa in half. I was taking 20mg. now I am taking 10mg. Mainly we are trying this for the weight issues I am having. An extra 15 lbs. is not making me very happy. And the fact is that my clothes are all for whne I was 15lbs. lighter. I broke down and bought 1 pair of jeans to fit my current size. But that is it and only because I can't go to work naked.

Speaking of which it is time to go.

Update

Not a mouse; It's a meese

Ok so I didn't look in the drawer where the trap is before I for left work. Apparently Steve didn't decide to empty the trap of the supposed mouse before going to bed this morning. So poor Haley opend the drawer not to find a mouse but 3 of them. Two in the trap and one scurrying around. Probably looking for a stick to hold the trap door open so his little friends could make a quick escape. Ahhh the joys of living in the country. But to he quite honest I would rather deal with the mouseys rather than deal with the dreaded R---H. yuck!

The Creature part trois

We found his new favorite hangout. So the trap has been let there in the hopes he will scurry his little butt into it.
( hope we catch him today I don't know how to spell 4 in french)

Update Steve just informed me that the mouse is in the trap !!!!!!!!!!!!

Blurry

Why do the pictures on the CVS Kodak picture disc (it's a floppy) always come out blurry?? Not having a scanner is really almost defeating the purpose of my other web page. Soon soon very soon I will have one ( I hope :-) )

It's My Birthday Birthday Birthday It's My Birthday

Ok so it's not until June 26. Here are some ideas:
1. Amber Romance lotion and body spray from Victoria's Secret
2. Vanilla Lace lotion and body spray from Vic's as well
(side note can't have the lotion without the spray, they go hand in hand)
3. Umm... a SCANNER ( thanks dad :-) )
4. Paint Shop Pro 7 the anniversary edition

I think that about covers it.

The Library

Sarah don't worry about it. It is no bg deal. Really it isn't :-)
I borrowed a really neat book "Dying for a Good Night's Sleep? Light's Out" by: T.S. Wiley. It is about how our bodies function around the cycles of the Earth and how our diet should also and so forth. Very interesting. Very good read.

Today I am feeling hip because I am wearing a pair of Sketchers. My regular works boots are about to give up the ghost. I guess I'll switch to these until I can find some "normal" shoes (refer to post below).

Must go to work now :-). Postivie Thoughts, Positive Thoughts Will get me through these next seven days.

The Creature part duex

It is a little itty bitty tiny field mouse. No we haven't caught it yet. But we did see it yesterday morning. Apparently it likes dog biscuits best.

Normal Shoes for "Normal" People

All I want if a freaking pair of workboots and a nice pair of sandals. That is all I want. But cann I find either of them?? NO Why for crying out loud do they make these awful shoes. Who needs a 12 inch platform on their shoes?? I am only just above 5 ft. and I really don't feel the need to wear platform shoes. Let alone platform sandals. That is just begging for a broken ankle if you ask me. No wonder todays youth are so overweight, they can't even walk let alone run and excerise in shoes that are on the market today.

2 days down 8 to go

yep that's right. No matter what is going on at work I am determined to keep a positive attitude. I will not let the evil demon of stress destroy this wonderful 10 day running streak.

Money Woes

humm..... went to the Library and paid fines on 2 of the 3 cards. Also on our trip one of the tapes we borrowed was umm.. accidentaly eaten. Thank goodness that they are only charging me a $10 fine. Instead of the replacement cost of $39.95. Also Mom plaese look around to see if you can find that dumb N'Sync cd tht Haley left there. There is an $18 fee plus another $6 fine. I really hope it is here.

Ok I must go now or I'll be late for work. Yep it is 4:30 in the morning. I must be on crack.

Just a quick note. I WORK THE NEXT FREAKING 10 DAYS IN A ROW!!!!!!!!! Ok I am better now. Gee who writes these damn schedules??? oh yeah it's me. Well that is what happens when you don't have the previous week in front of you. I'll be working mostly 5am -2pm. Except on Memorial Day I get the luxury of working 5 am to 10 pm. Nice very nice.

The Creature
I should go and check the trap. I hate doing that. It really kind of freaks me out. ick

Money
I gained a little extra income yesterday. I took several CDs to Cd warehouse and sold about 10. I got $28. :-)

Pictures
I picked up the photos I had enlarged. I have a photo album that belonged to my dad's dad. ( Do you call them your grandparents even though they died before you ever really knew them?) Anyway I think he was an MP during WWII (correct me if I am wrong dad) and he was stationed over seas. He took some beautiful photos of the cities and land. Not to mention some really cool ones of the local people. Well after shopping and not finding any art for the living room I decided to make my own. So I am enlarging the photos and hand tinting them. These two will be my first experiment. Wish me luck.

Must run, have to put on my face. Have a great day everybody.

Today is Track and Field Day for the elem. school. They get to have a picnic lunch and play outdoors most of the afternoon. It is quite a nice event for the kids.

I am at One with the mouse, mice or rat
(to rip off
Sarah)
Yes we have them again. We usually get a little furry visitor over the late fall early winter. We found him and took him for a long ride in the country. A few months later we got another one. We did the same as before. But now we may have more than one or else we have a rat. There are "presents" eww ick yuck in all the cabinets. Steve has throughly clean out the lower ones andI ran the silverware and other serving stuff through the dishwasher. Cameron found our humane mouse trap and we have placed it in the cabinet. I hope we catch it soon.

Today's Tasks

sweep living room
put futon back together
sweep and tidy up kitchen

yea for me. I have a living room again. I even managed to clean away nearly all of the remaining plaster dust. Steve asked/bribed me to plant the flowers in our new flower garden area. I needed the ink cartridge refilled and since he won't let anyone else do it we made a deal. I think I'll finish cleaning Cameron's room toady. At least then we will have managed to regain control over most of the house. Haley is responsible for her own room. As her's is the only room, other than the living room, that is finished. I have no exciting news to report.

To celebrate finding the LR again we ate dinner while watching a movie. (a very rare occasion) We watched "A Knight's Tale". Cameron declined the invitation. He decided we would rather work on a new 100 piece puzzle. Which he accomplished in about 2 hours. I am not feeling very motivated today. I feel as though I could sleep all day. I'll make a list again. Perhaps that will help.

(in no particular order)
1. clean Cameron's room (he say's he will help)
2. my laundry
3. clean up kitchen
4. take a nap
5. Steve's webpage (for his gardening adventures and truck rennovations)

I just got back form walking Cam to the bus stop. Should I be offended that the little elderly lady that lives next door said I look like I should be getting on the bus too. I'll try to take it as a compliment.

It somewhat disturbs me when people assume that the kids can't be mine because I look so young. It just so happens that I come from a young looking family. All the women on my mothers side have great skin. I have and aunt who I thought was in her late 60's and I just found out she is actually in her 80's. Also I've got great looking genes from my dad. Who by the way looks awesome. He recently celebrated his 50th b-day and I don't like he looks a day over 30.

I sometimes wonder if we keep a mental picture of our parents at a particular age. And regardless of what age they really are, they always appear to us at the age of our mental picture.

Well the kids are at school. Steve is sleeping. I have the whole house to myself. I think I'll simmer some spices to warm up the house. It is around 44 degrees right now
and then I guess I'll get working on my list.

1. clean the living room
2. pull staples from Cameron's room (there is a big drop cloth on the floor now to protect little feet)
3. humm... dare I say grout the upstairs bathroom???
4. if Joe gets my pictures scanned by tuesday then hopefully I can post them tuesday night.

I think that is all I will list for now. I don't want to feel overwhelmed because if that happens then I'll just sit here and play all day.

I did a few things all ready:
fixed Haley's comment box
updated my comment box
worked on some of the backgrounds on the home page

5. What's your worst hair-related experience
I dyed my hair hyacinth red for about 1 year or so. I was rather tired of needing to dye every six weeks ( I have very fast growing hair). So I decided to dye my hair back to its natural medium brown. Well.... my hair had become very porous from all of the previous dying and the brown was sucked in before I even got the bottle near my head. My hair was darker than black tar. It was darker than midnight. I went to the salon were I was told that the only soloution was a very close shave. hehehe So I went around with coal black hair for almost a year.

yes I am good!!! I fixed the stupid archives :-) Ok now I can go to bed. I am being very overstimulated tonight. Everybody is in the computer room. Haley won't stop crying over the cheerleading issue. I just don't feel it is a good thing for her. I think it has more to do with this whole Sara issue than she is letting on. She said she is worried that Sara is going to call her a chicken for the rest of her life and make fun of her because she didn't sign up. I want Haley to be involved in something she likes to do. I just don't like this obession with cheerleading. It all started when she saw the movie "Bring It On" which she shouldn't have seen in the first place.

It is late and considering I have been sitting here for the past 4 hours I think I should go now.

I updated all my links and such, added my poetry page, fixed the archives I feel as though I accomplished a lot in four hours. yea to me :-)

good night all.

Yes mom of course you count!!!! I love you. Ok I was feeling little sad that my only IRL friend lives the about a bazllion miles away. Sorry for the depressing entry below. I am feeling much better today. I was down to one happy pill and was a little worried that they weren't going to get here in time. But the ever wonderful UPS dude dropped them off yesterday afternoon. Work has been ok. So far this week I have acrued 2 hours of overtime. Oh don't worry they wont let me keep it. I just have to manage to cut it by Sunday. I am hoping to leave at noon today. Or I could skip lunch and leave at 11. But that is highly unlikely as I am the only bookkeeper till 2. I think the word bookkeeper is a neat word, would you look at all those double letters.

Haley and I made all the go withs for dinner last night. Steve cooked dead animals on the grill. Then Haley and I made Chinese Cherry Dumplings. (I'll post recipie later today) We had a very nice family dinner. Cameron was a bit hyper last night. I think it was because I didn't structure his free time after school. When he has unlimited freedom things get a little out of hand. Ha even managed to scrape off most of the frosting on the bathroom window. Which is fine because I had to redo it anyway, but he and I had already talked about the window and he knew better. I told Cam that I was very sad that he did that to the window after all the hard work I did on it. He snuggled up to me and said in a near tears voice that he was very sorry for hurting my feelings.

ok I just realized the time I must leave now for work. Yes I know it is 4 am I'm a crackhead. What can I say. :-D

Weekend at Sarah's

It was fab. Totally fab.. The kids had a great time as did I. I am rather sad since coming home tho. I was very nice to have a real life friend outside of work. Sarah I really miss you and Matt and esp. the kids. I was totatly bummed at work all day today. I was even sad when I went to the health food store. It smelled like Sarah's pantry :-(

I haven't really felt much like blogging since coming home. And not to mention the I probably talked to the few people who actually read this thing, so I didn't really feel the need to update.

Cam and Steve and I made Marbled Fairy Milk tonight. You take a pie pan fill it with milk. Add 1-2 drops of food coloring. Then add drops of dish soap directly on top of the food coloring drops. The colors then swirl around a bit. It was an interesting project.

Tea Tree Oil

Well I am testing tea tree oil on the kids. It is suppose to get rid of warts and heal cuts and toe nail fungus. It smells rather odd and I couldn't imagine using it as a mouthwash. The HFS had lots of tea tree things for dental hygine. ICK!!! If it tastes anything like it smells I think I'll pass.

On the advice of my beloved Sarah, I think I am going to try a detoxing tea for better intestional and colon health. We shall see. Our HFS seemed well stocked but I could not find the vegan choco chips. There are about a dozen stores in the greater harrisburg are so I think I shall find them somewhere.

I have so much film I want to develop but I'll have to wait till next payday.

I talked to Joe today and he said he would work on scanning my pics for me. Hopefull I'll get the disc tomorrow then I can update the sad little webpage that nobody goes to anyway. Yes I am feeling sorry for myself. I miss Sarah. :-( I am going to post this now before I begin to feel even sorrier (is that even a word) for myself.

Which means I can't see the tele numbers to call with the other phone. Silly me for putting my numbers on my phone. So I could be packing now oh well.

Staples
Why did they need to use so many staples?? I spent most of last night pulling staples from the floor in the master bedroom. I wonder if the guys laying the carpet felt guilty about putting carpet over the hardwood floors?? I wonder if the people who glued the rubberbacked carpet to the hardwood floors felt guilty also? All the rooms are painted around the edges. Literally there are pencil lines drawn around where their rugs were and they painted up to the lines. Yellow and brown. Everything they (orig. owners c.1900) painted was yellow and brown, ick. I hope to finsh pulling the staples out of Cam's room this week. There is a big canvas drop cloth covering his floor to protect his little feet. I also have a lot to do planning for the big trip to
Sarah's.

Redemption
Haley redeemed her self yesterday. She baked a lovely yellow cake using the butter recipie. Her homemade frosting was a bit runny. Frosting is a new area for her. She also made me lunch. My favorite, little pizzas in the sandwich maker. She didn't need to do all of that to redeem herself, she just needed to lose the attitude. I swear she was on an emotional roller coaster yesterday. Class can we say, all together now, HORMONES!!!!! eeekk! I am not ready for this.

Money or the lack there of
Today I have the pleasure of calling all the people who have returned checks to us. Then I also get to prepare the papers for the District Justice and the Police, for the people who haven't come in to pay. We just had a sudden influx at work regarding returned checks. It will probably take me all afternoon. That is good tho, work will fly today. It always does when I work the closing shift. If Steve didn't work nights I would work closes during the week.

And that's the end :-)

Completed all tasks save one. All the carpet is gone!!!! Well except for the little bit in the kitchen. Now I need to do a deep clean of the house. Hummm where to start. I think I'll start in the master bedroom. Cameron's hair looks ok. He cut it about a week ago and to fix it she would have had to shave his head. Needless to say I did not want his head shaved.

Haley is being, something, not herself today. She has done nothing but complain and pester. I am rather irritated with her.

Time to clean. Steve is going to do yard work and hopfully we will go out for dinner.

Good morning!!! I slept for 9 1/2 hours. Yeah!!!! Today is Trash Day. Soon Steve and I will be loading up the truck with all of our junk. It will be so nice to clear all that stuff from the basemenat and attic. Not to mention the carpet. Did I mention how happy I am about the carpet. Cam slept all night and actually is still sleeping. I should go wake him.

Weight Watchers

My step-mother called me last ngiht to tell me of her success with Weight Watchers. Dad also has been following the points program with her. He lost 20lbs. Mom lost 15lbs. I think I may have to go visit them and get the info. Perhaps this will help me.

Lots of stuff planned for today. Trash, Cam's hair cut, clean the house, I think that about covers it all. Well I guess I should get started. But I must shower first.

Have A great Day.

Well guess who went to sleep at 9:15 pm last night??? He slept till 9:30am this morning. I couldn't believe it. I just sat next to him last night and kept looking at him. I asked him if he was asleep and he didn't move or make a sound. Awesome!!!!!!!! Work was great today. Everything clicked right along. No one was there to bother me. ( I don't know what is up with the managers this week, I haven't seen them hardly at all) I came home Steve and I visited for a bit ;-) Then took a nice nap. He is still sleeping, Cameron wanted me to see what he built with his lincoln logs. I should find some dinner as I am starving. And there is going to be one exciting game of yahtzee at the table in a bit.

Tonight my be the first night I will not be able to enjoy Adventures at Night with Cameron his doctor perscribed a new medicine in addition to Concerta it is Clonidine. For adults it is a blood pressure med. For children with ADD/ADHD it is a sleep inducer. Go figure.

Steve made a lovely pizza for dinner. He has a bread maker and makes his own dough from scratch.

I am not feeling very witty at the momment. Too many late nights with Cam and my brain is fried. I think I would like to go to bed now. I wonder Steve could get the kids off to bed before he leaves for work at 9?

Now I have seen it all
A patriotic garden in todays newspaper with instrustions on where to put what plants so it looks like a flag. (do you think people don't know how to make a flag and if they don't do you think we should let them out of their houses?) . Ok I am down with being American and all that and brotherly love and respect for each other. But I have a little trouble with it when the guy who cuts you off at 4am has 4 American flags on his SUV. Where is his brotherly love?? After all I am not a slow driver by any means. Ugh people never fail to amaze me.

That that that that's all folks.

Adventures at Night with Cameron He finished off the whole container of frosting. Then was palying School House Rock till 1 am. When I brought him back to bed he kept rolling away and sneaking off the end of the bed. I said "Cameron where are you?" He rolled back over to me wrapped his arms around my neck and said "mommy I will lie closer to you so you won't be so nervous about me going away again".That's my boy.

Another new blog comming your way Adventures in Cheerleading with Haley I am confused. She wants to be a cheerleader. She does flips all over the house, inside and outside. She wacks her foot on the diswasher tonight. Twenty minutes later she wants to go outside and do more flips. She does one. She cries that her foot hurts. I ask "Then why are you doing flips?" She replies, "because I want to". Ok fine and dandy, whatever. (on medical terms she has probably bruised the tendons/ligaments in her foot, no frets nothing is broken) I wonder what she is going to to do when she gets her two front teeth knocked out trying to do some kind of flying stunt? She will be a flyer person no doubt because she only weighs like 5 lbs.

I am a little grouchy still this evening. Steve hasn't made dinner for the past 4 nights. I hate cooking. He is dieting and so he doesn't cook :-(. Also I am a little worn out because of Adventures at Night with Cameron. Nothing like waking up every hour or two from 10pm and then having to get up at 3:30 am for work. Oh well. I suppose I should go retrive Cameron from the outside and have him do his homework.

And there we have it.

A BLUE Dragon Lies Beneath!

I took the Inner Dragon online quiz and found out I am a Blue Dragon on the inside. If there ever was a draconic example of a supple attitude, my Inner Dragon is it. Blues are the Water Elemental dragon - typified by their Steam breath weapon. Pretty creative, huh? It goes right along with my Inner Dragon's tendency to maim, but not destroy. Much like my native oceans and rivers will deform the rock over time, eventually wearing it away to nothing.

Humans shouldn't make the mistake of thinking I'm weak, however. After all I'm a good 30 feet in length and have a penchant for materializing out of any body of water, no matter how small. I also enjoy communicating with aquatic life-forms, hunting in totally inhospitable terrain (i.e. 3000 feet below the waves), and using my fluid nature to my advantage. My enemies probably won't even see me approach in the first place. My favorable attributes are the sunset, Autumn, water, compassion, intuition, and calmness. Naturally, I pity the fool who'd try and prove that calmness part, he'd probably wind up being scalded. *small grin*
