Thought of the Day:

"Give me where to stand, and I will move the earth."
-Archimedes (3rd c. b.c.)

Work on the house yesterday went well. We removed a 3ft x 6ft. section of the downstaris ceiling. It won't be too much trouble (fingers crossed) to switch places of the toilet and sink in the upstains bathroom. Did I mention that horse-hair plaster is very dusty! We are going to have to cover the doorways with plastic to keep it from spreading to the other rooms.

In an extreme effort to get rid of clutter and such I purchased, what seems to be a good book. "Organizing from the Inside Out" by Juile Morgenstern. I certainly hope this helps. I would like to get a jump on "spring cleaning" so that I will have more time to plant flowers this year. Also I want the junk gone before my escape room is done so that moving things into it will be easier. Sarah I will let you know of any really good tips I find, that I think will be up your ally.

The kids are very calm tonight. Cameron has been on an independent play kick this evening. And Steve fixed Haley's computer, so she is figuring what games she wants installed. Today is Wednesday and that means Cam gets to sleep with me. This is the highlight of the week. I actually believe it has nothing to do with being with me. I think he likes it because of the waterbed. Either way it is our time together. We are currently reading "Charolette's Web". I am so amazed by his reading skills. He loves to read. He is in 1st grade and is already up to reading at a 3rd grade level. We were listening to him read his story for tonight and he is so fluent. The inflection is fantastic! He really does a great job at animating the characters in the story. Haley has been talking about recycling a lot lately. Apparently this is a big topic in science class right now. She even went out back and cleaned up the trash in the ally yesterday. Some days she just seems so grown up. Her skating party is on Saturday. It should be lots of fun. I think I am going to go and relax a bit this evening and do some reading. Made I'll have a cup of coco and think of you Sarah :-) !

Good morning! I was up till 1:00 am cleaning. eeek!! It is time to get the kids off to school. Haley just left. Now on to the challange, Cam, he is so distractable when he first gets up. And then it takes almost an hour till his medication kicks in. We really like Concerta over the Adderall. The mornings are funny at least to me anyway it is almost like flashbacks to before we had Cam evaulated for ADHD. He was impossible, He would run in a circle for a 1/2 hr. no lie. And you couldn't get him to do anything because halfway to that task something would grab his attention and he was lost. Or he was so hyperfocused on an activity the whole world would dissappear and it took forever to get him back. I at times miss my unmedicated Cam. But I like this one because we can spend more time talking and I don't have to discipline him hardly at all now. Well off to get him ready and then another monster cleaning day. Only today I have off work, so I'll gets tons done I hope.

It must be the full moon. I have been on a cleaning rampage since I woke up from my nap. I even moved the stove to sweep under it. I am so excited the house is getting under way. We are starting to get some of the long over due projects fiinished. I hope to have a real bathroom floor by the end of march. Perhaps sooner. Then drywall in my escape room by the end of April. Alson since I got my camera this weekend I can now chronical every stage of each room. I have been keeping a journal of each room listing what the condition was, what was done, products used such as paint colors and strippers and how long it took to accomplish the project. I would like to make a nice photo album and combine the journal with the pictures. So many years from now after the drag my dead body from the house, people will see all the work we put into it and hopefully will not ruin all our work. Well before I get sucked into this machine I am going to go now. Sarah I hope you are feeling better :-) I am sending you lotsa happy thoughts.

Yeah !!!!!!!! Today is the big day. We are getting a ...... DISHWASHER :-) Steve is so happy because he is the one who does the dishes. Also I get my long awaited camera. I love taking pictures but alas my old camera was knocked off the counter at work and broken. That was 2 years ago. I have waited a long time to get a new one. Today is date day. Steve and I go out once a month. The kids sleep over at their grandparents houses. We take turns planning the date. I can't even beging to tell you how much this small step has improved our marriage. I hope we go to Pizza Hut for dinner. I have been craving pizza lately.

Your Results:

You were female in your last earthly incarnation.

You were born somewhere around the territory of what is now know as modern Mexico, approximately in the year 1825.

Your profession was: medic, surgeon, herbalist.

A brief psychological profile of you in that past life:
You had mind of a scientist, always seeking new explanations. Environment often misunderstood him, but respected his knowledge.

A lesson that your last past life wishes you to learn in your present life is:
Magic is everywhere around you, in most usual, most ordinary incidents. Your lesson -- to learn magic and to help people to see it clearly. You are magician!

do you remember?

ok so I went a little crazy with the little "tests" tonight. I just needed some down time from the past 2 days. It felt liked I worked non-stop. The kids are in bed. Cam is most likely in my bed. That is ok he's warm and soft, kinda like a stuffed animal. Only he moves quite a bit. I am no longer hungry, just grouchy. I really wanted pizzas in the sandwich maker, but was much too tired to make them myself. And I could find no one to make them for me. Oh well. Had chips and a plain cheese sandwich. BORING! Ok I am going to bed now. Good night.

So is it wrong to try and bribe your child to cook you dinner? I just got home from a 12 hr. work day not to mention the 1 hr. commute each way. yuck. Then I took Cameron for his thrice yearly haircut. I always swear to Amy (the lady who cuts his hair) that I'll bring him in sooner than usual. But the time just flys and we don't go till you can't find Cameron under all that hair. Oh well. Well I don't think Haley is going to make me dinner, so I guess I'll have a bowl of cereal. yum-yum.

Thought for the Day:

"Men always want to be a woman's first love. That is their clumsy vanity. We women have a more subtle instinct about things. What we like is to be a man's last romance.

-Oscar Wilde "A Woman of No Importance" (1893)

Chemistry

blaring red screams from internal beating
sharp fridge blue stops red from repeating
venomus green bites with sharp teeth that grind
deep dwelling blackness does all of this bind

introduce chemistry
things begin to fade
red becomes pink soft and subtle you see
blue becomes tranquil no longer sufficating me
green's replaced by trust
blackness is lifted to verying shades of dust

my pastel emotions
come calmly and quitely
intenseness subsides
to easychair comfort.

Good morning to me. Another sleepless night. Sick child tosses and turns. And talks in his sleep. hehehehe One minute Cameron, 6, is playing dress up with his sister Haley, 11. The next he's off on some computer game dream. Poor little guy. I still am sick as well. Wrapping up 4 weeks of illness. I think I was hit with 2 things in a row. The flu from work. Then Cameron's cold. Haley hardly ever gets sick. I think it is because she was in day care for 4 years and caught everything under the moon. Cam on the other hand, gets ill about 3-4 times a winter. I stayed home with him. And my mother -in- law watched him when I went back to work. Anyway enough about being sick. I think I'll try to go back to bed before Steve gets home. If I stay up till then, then he and I will end up having tea and coco and talking till the kids get up for school. Which isn't a bad thing, quite a wonderful thing actually. But I still need my rest since I am still under the weather.
